Terms of service

In short

• verify.hu is a free Discord bot that protects servers from raids, spam bots and scam links.
• New members pass a short check. Their answers are stored without any identity and may be used to train AI systems.
• Don't cheat the check with scripts or bots, and don't use verify.hu for anything illegal.
• The service is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it running, but we can't promise it never fails.

Who we are

verify.hu ("we", "us") runs the verify.hu Discord bot, the check that opens inside Discord, the owner dashboard and this website. Company details will be listed here once our business is registered. verify.hu is not made by, affiliated with or endorsed by Discord.

By adding the bot to a server, verifying in a server that uses it, or using this website, you agree to these terms and to Discord's own Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use verify.hu.

If you add the bot to a server

• You must be allowed to manage that server, and you are responsible for the settings you choose in the dashboard (which checks run, how hard they are, role expiry, raid shield and the other options).
• Tell your members that the server uses verify.hu. The check itself also tells them, and links to our privacy notice.
• The bot needs the permissions it asks for when you add it, and its role must sit above the Verified and Unverified roles. Without that, some features can't work.
• All features are currently free. If we later offer paid features, we'll say so clearly first, and nothing you use today becomes paid without notice.
• You can remove the bot at any time by kicking it from your server.

If you verify in a server

• The check proves you are a person. Solve it yourself: scripts, bots, solving services and other ways to automate or game the check are not allowed.
• Some checks include a short question, like picking which of two items sounds or looks better. There is no wrong answer to those, and you can always choose "not sure".
• Whether you get access to a server is up to that server's owner and settings. We don't decide who belongs in a community.

Your answers and AI training

Your answers to checks and optional tasks are recorded without your Discord ID, name or any other identity. You give us a worldwide, permanent, free right to store, combine, analyse, sell and license these anonymous answers, including as training and evaluation data for AI systems. Because they carry no identity, we cannot find or remove one person's answers afterwards.

If you request a pilot or buy data

Pilots and data purchases are covered by a separate written agreement. Items you send us for a pilot stay yours: we use them only for your pilot and never reuse or resell them.

What you may not do

• Use verify.hu to break the law, harass people, or break Discord's rules.
• Copy, reverse-engineer or overload the check, the bot or the website, or try to reach data that isn't yours.
• Send us items for labelling that you don't have the right to share, or that contain illegal content.

We may block a member from the check, stop the bot serving a server, or decline a pilot if these terms are broken.

No guarantees

verify.hu is provided "as is" and "as available". No protection stops every raid, bot or scam, and the service may sometimes be down or change. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost data, or harm caused by people or bots that get past a check. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms as verify.hu grows. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters for you, we'll announce it on this site before it applies.
